IHello my name is Nathan Heath , aka Natedog, I have been in the tattoo business since 1993,  I apprenticed at Fast Freddy`s Superior Skin Art, on Victory drive in Columbus Ga, Fort Benning, under Wild Bill Debuc, who inturn apprenticed under Sailor Bill Killingsworth. A very rough apprenticeship,  but also a really good time, I`ve worked all over the south Dixieland Capitol City tattoos in Tallahasee Fl, Lucky Devil, Daytona Florida, Body language, Jacksonville Nc and Galveston Tx , I managed Studio 13.5 in League City Texas for a while, and at Hardwire Tattoo, in Wilmington Nc,and now i`m a resident artist at the Texas Body Art with a really excellent group of guys. Well I mostly do custom work, I really enjoy doing portraits, nothing is as sentimental to most people than a portrait, and as satisfying to see someome really appreciate the work that you do on them, I customize in all genre of tattoo, I always aspired to do anything that came through the door that there be no challenge I couldn`t do, granted it took a while to get to that point, but I love realism in color and black and grey.  I enjoy traditional Japanese, but since I`m not Japanese , I always tell people it`s Americana with heavy Japanese influence,
        

I remember when I first started tattooing, I didn`t take it seriously, all I did was production work and i thought i was a rock star, but about 7 years ago, I really started concentrating on my tattooing, and painting, though there is always someone better, I really appreciate the work I get todo. I`ve been on my own since I was 14 and had to work some crappy jobs , thats why I`m appreciative for being an artist[ who doesn`t starve] , I`ve always felt as if I`m a workin mans artist not everyone can afford a masterpiece, but I work with them, and give them a piece of art they will always enjoy, I do this, because I love makin people happy, when you paint a canvas it doesn`t show appreciation, on people that bond is awesome, I`ve met some really cool people on this earthride and will continue to make tattoo a recognized art form, I have always been a professional tattoo artist and am an advocate for good, sterile tattoo . Some artists work i really enjoy are Sean Herman, Victor Portugal, Nikko of course, Joshua Carlton, soo many good artist that i cant mention them all I love how far the art form has come, i am a custom artist , that means i take my time with what ever i put my name on ,i do not compromise  the integrity of my work for any reason.
